About the Role

Intertidal LA is seeking an enthusiastic, skilled Junior Designer to join the creative team. As a Junior Designer, you will correspond with the Managing Director, Creative Director, Copywriter, and clients to produce beautiful and functional email campaigns and flows, distinctive brand identities, websites, and internal and external presentations. The Junior Designer role will be responsible for multiple client accounts and creating designs that meet and surpass client expectation.

Responsibilities:

• Translating copy into a visual narrative for campaigns and flow emails, internal/external presentations, and websites

• Working closely with our Creative Director to execute client brand identity suite and guidelines

• Working closely with our Managing Director to build out initial email templates

• Concepting new design ideas while adhering closely to client branding

• Maintaining high standards in process, design, file naming/structure and presentation

• Incorporating new techniques and trends in design efforts

• Responsible for email creative and brand identity assets (all visual elements)

• Evaluated based on quantity and quality of output

• Evaluated based on performance/conversion of the creative

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years experience as a visual designer working in a creative agency setting or brand side

• Ability to work on multiple projects at once

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong foundational graphic design skills; understanding of typography + color theory best practices is essential

• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and/or Keynote

• Experience with email specific design is a plus, but not necessary

• Experience with motion or animation is a plus, but not necessary

• Tools used: design platform (Keynote, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator), project management system (i.e. Notion), email service provider (i.e. Klaviyo, MailChimp), and web service provider (Squarespace, Shopify, etc.)
